CEYLON WHITE TEA IN REGULER TEA BAGS.

Ceylon White tea is grown on the island of Sri Lanka is grown, harvested and rolled by hand with the leaves dried and withered in the sun in the Nuwara Eliya region of Sri Lanka near Adam's Peak between 2200 - 2500 meters above sea level. Has a delicate, very light liquoring with notes of pine & honey and a golden coppery infusion. Instead of oxidation, the buds are dried by steaming, then air dried. This leaves the enzymes in the leaves intact, unexposed to air. Water evaporates more slowly and up to 40% of the original weight is lost. Then the leaves are slow-roasted to remove about 95% of their moisture content. The result is a tea with very little caffeine and a very light color and delicate taste.

We use natural high grown Ceylon teas from the top tea growing regions of Sri Lanka - Nuwara Eliya, Dimbula and Uva are used in flavored teas. These three high-grown districts produce flavorful teas that have classic Ceylon tea character which is noted by floral bouquet and flavour notes, touches of mild astringency, bright coppery colour and, most importantly - perfect for use as the base tea of most flavoured teas.
